Photograph from cover of the official programme for the 1936 Ards TT

This picture is taken from under the railway bridge over the Comber Road at Dundonald station. The photographer, who is taking his life in his hands, is standing on the Comber Road facing towards Comber. The Old Dundonald Road sweeps away to the right just before the bridge. The Ards TT race was always run in a clockwise direction as shown by the three cars sprinting for the hairpin bend at the Central Bar at the West of Dundonald village. The stone abutment and silhouette of the girder bridge frame the scene. The station is to the right.
